Meet Your Travel Consultant: Amy Fisher
Hi, I’m Amy! Born and raised in southwest Michigan, I’ve always had a passion for bringing people together first through fitness, now through travel. My background in Exercise Science and years working in the fitness industry taught me the value of connection, encouragement, and meeting people where they are, which naturally carried over into how I serve my travel clients today.
My own RunDisney journey in 2018 is what sparked my love for Disney destinations and inspired me to join Goofy Getaways. After experiencing both the excitement of race weekends and the frustration of lackluster travel planning, I knew I wanted to create a better experience for others. Since 2018, I’ve helped families and runners alike plan stress-free Disney and Universal vacations while still staying connected to my fitness roots as part of the Les Mills TAP team. Now, with a flexible home-based business and our first child on the way, I’m grateful every day to combine my passions and help others create magical memories that last a lifetime.

Why Book With Me
As a full-time travel consultant with Goofy Getaways, my main focus is on creating YOUR most magical vacation. I’ve been an annual passholder at Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and Disneyland parks. I’ve also sailed on Disney Cruise line and traveled internationally (Paris, Amsterdam, Rome to name some of the major cities). I’ve also participated in all the WDW RunDisney race weekends.
I am committed to helping my clients prepare for their magical vacations with clear communication leading up to their trip and even support during! My main form of communication with clients is email because I remember the days of juggling 5 jobs at the same time, so finding time to make phone calls or in person appointments can be a challenge when you are busy. Plus, with an email, you can always go back and re-read the information. I will happily schedule calls with clients as well to make sure you understand all the details and are ready for your magical vacation.

We’ll begin by discussing your travel goals, preferences, and must-haves. I’ll then create a few thoughtfully tailored vacation package options for you to review. Need changes? No problem—up to three complimentary revisions are included to ensure we find the perfect fit. GET YOUR FREE QUOTE
Step 2: Booking Your Trip
Once you’ve selected your ideal package, I’ll take care of getting everything secured. Just tell me which package you prefer!
Step 3: The Planning Process
This is where the magic happens! From the moment you book to the week you depart, I’ll send helpful, expertly timed emails with tips and resources. Expect everything from theme park insights and Lightning Lane guidance to transportation tips and app tutorials. I am just a quick email, text or even a phone call away to make sure you feel prepared for your magical vacation.
Step 4: Final Payment
Your payment schedule will be available at any time, just shoot me an email! You’re welcome to make payments along the way, and I’ll also send a friendly reminder as your final due date approaches.
Step 5: The Final Details
In the weeks leading up to your trip, I’ll share tailored packing advice, last-minute reminders, and prep tips to help you feel organized and excited. If you’d like, we can also schedule a final planning call to walk through any lingering questions or details together.

My office hours are Monday-Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm EST. I will try to get quotes to you within 2 business days of your request, however, if it is a weekend, quotes will go out on Monday morning! (Unless there is a holiday)

My job is to find you the best value on vacation, although not necessarily the lowest cost. Pricing, while very important, is only one of many factors I consider when putting together the best package. I take my clients’ budgets very seriously and treat them with the same respect I would want my own vacation budget treated, but ultimately I keep your best interest in mind and make my travel recommendations with all relevant factors considered. Also, I am unable to provide line-item pricing, as your package consists of many components.
I do monitor all my clients trips for discounts and promotions so this means if a better price or package becomes available, I will continue to work to get you the best value for your vacation.

No, I am not able to book with Airbnb for my clients. Disney has curated a world-renowned experience that is best enjoyed by staying at one of their very own properties. With unique perks that are offered exclusively to their hotel guests, and because of the proximity, convenience, and guarantee of excellence that is associated with their hotels, at this time I only create Vacation Packages that include a stay at their properties. For these reasons and the lack of ability to properly vet and vouch for an Airbnb property, I do not include booking Airbnbs as a service.

Once we confirm your itinerary and you are ready to make a payment, You can access your Client Portal to create a pre-authorization. Your credit card isn’t charged immediately upon authorization, but what this does is give me all of the information I need as well as permission to make charges on your behalf. Your information is then saved, so you can easily revisit your invoice and make future payments quickly and easily. Payments will NEVER be submitted without your authorization.

In today's travel climate, I understand how important flexibility and the option to cancel your trip has become. Part of my job as your travel advisor is to educate you about each aspect of your trip's cancellation policy. The tour guides, hotels, properties, and experiences I curate for my clients often have their own unique set of cancellation policies, so I will include all cancellation details clearly for each client

Yes, absolutely! After you’ve looked everything over, you and I can talk through any changes that you would like to make. I offer 3 complimentary changes to your itinerary.
We can also often make changes to your vacation after it is booked but these changes may be subject to price changes, resort availability, etc.

The best way for us to communicate is through email. If you have something more urgent to discuss, we can find a time to schedule a phone call. Of course, while traveling, you will have my personal contact information so that I'm only a phone call away to help should a need arise.
